I
first took an interest in the workings of the human mind when I
discovered I had a tendency to check my doors and windows over and over
again before leaving the house. This led me to pour over books and
research for myself what was 'going on’ in my mind. After much careful
study I realised I had a mild form of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
(otherwise known as OCD).
I
sought advice and then help from a psychotherapist, which was an
invaluable experience for me. It changed my life and released me from
something that although had been a burden for some years, I never
realised just how much it affected me and
now I was free.
With
my hunger for knowledge considerably heightened I decided to put it to
the test and studied Psychology with Farnborough Technical College.
As
my
main area of interest was therapy, I then took a general
Counselling course and on successfully finishing this took and
completed a one-year Certificate and Diploma course with the Institute
of Counselling – Glasgow.
Having always wanted to learn about Hypnotherapy, it was during this
time that I started to read and gain more knowledge about this powerful
and effective therapeutic technique.

I then studied with one of the leading Hypnotherapy
colleges in the country, The Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis
(EICH),
and completed a
professional practitioner course in Clinical Hypnosis with
Psychotherapy then the remarkable technique of
Hypnoanalysis.
