A Panic Attack is a temporary but extremely powerful sense of fear which can seem to appear for no known reason at all.

Although Panic Attacks are physically harmless, and are actually a natural evolutionary response, known as the Fight or Flight Response, they can be and often are an extremely terrifying experience for the sufferer.

Most people suffer Panic Attacks in different ways, but the symptoms include struggling for breath, dizziness, excessive sweating, chest pains, and a feeling of complete terror to name but a few.

The reason for these physical feelings is that the mind perceives whatever the cause of the Panic Attack is (which in some cases is not known to the sufferer) as a very real source of threat, and prepares the body for either fighting or running away (Fight or Flight); the physiological preparation including, pumping adrenaline into the bloodstream, and temporarily closing down bodily functions that are not necessary (for example the digestive system or the immune system).

The Panic Attack itself being so terrifying that the sufferer often thinks they are going to have a heart attack, lose control or even die.

This bodily reaction is the result of a response to a stimulus that at some point your Subconscious mind has seen as a threat to you, and this is causing the Fight or Flight response (or Panic Attack) to be fired off inappropriately.

Using Hypnoanalysis we aim to uncover the source of this reaction, releasing the emotion and ridding you of the effects once and for all.
